New Age Motorsports
About New Age Motorsports
While we are always proud of our designs, we have come to appreciate a growing passion among hot-rodders for the American Graffiti Coupe. Anyone who has seen the movie can recall the yellow 1932 Ford 5-window coupe that John Milner drove in this movie. If you are a fan of this movie, and search the internet, you have probably noticed a site that is dedicated to reproducing this coupe in minute detail. Several years ago, we came into contact with a little company in Kansas called Project THX 138. Rick Blevins of Project THX 138 has been instrumental in helping us to develop many of the features that we now offer in our Graffiti Coupe package, such as the "Graffiti Correct rear fenders", the "Graffit front cycle fenders", and the flat floor. He has contributed a great deal of time in researching this car, and has written a special introduction to New Age Motorsports for those who are passionate enough about this little yellow deuce to want their own copy of it. If you share this passion, we invite you to check out their website at www.projectthx138.com. Tell them Ed sent you. Here is Rick's introduction.
Welcome to the New Age Motorsports (NAM) Intro Page. This page is here to give you an insight on what all the talk on the NAM 32 body is about. So, if you are tired of looking for that vintage tin or just can't afford it, then you have come to the right place.
To start off, I would like to say that I have worked with Ed (owner of NAM) for about 2 years on making the most authentic '32 Ford 5-window coupe since Henry Ford. Let's just say when Ed makes a body, he makes it right! Well, that is, if you like Original 1932 Fords!
It is Project THX 138's opinion that these are the BEST DAMN 32 bodies BAR NONE on the market today. I own one of these bodies; in fact, I sold my steel '32 5-window for one of these, and I wouldn't trade it, even for another steel body! Why would I? I can drive the shit out of it and not have to worry about ruining precious steel! Plus, it NEVER rusts, and if I damage the body, I can always get a new one. Can't say that with original steel, can you? I swear, guys, this thing looks just like an original '32; it has fooled a ton of people! I have even argued with some that it was FIBERGLASS and NOT steel!
This body is not some cheap piece of shit you see sitting on eBay for sale! This body is a work of ART! The body is all hand laid fiberglass with NASCAR steel tube frame for structure. Original '32 parts can be put on this body with NO MODIFICATIONS! I am using a stock '32 5-window coupe seat and package tray in my coupe.
There are good '32 bodies out on the market, but if you want the BEST, then go with NAM.
